Judge Roberts

                   Obama is us.

Evil.

Excuse me?  You serious?

Yes.

But, he isn't our biggest problem.  You are.

So am I.  We are all flawed and with our inbred sin nature we repeatedly show we need a savior.  In our early colonies, when people read the scriptures, we found the direction that guided us through many problems.  Yes, there were mistakes but for the most part, people seriously tried to please God and to credit God for our successes.

Today, we willingly choose to kick Him out of our lives and our government.  Therefore, we find ourselves under His judgment.

Consider this.  Let us begin with simple, 100% biblical truths.  God loves us.  God wants us to be saved from eternal damnation in hell.  There is only one way to accomplish salvation, through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.  Nothing is more important to each of us than our relationship with Christ.

Let us reason, using these truths.  Our founders recognized the absolute importance of the citizens of our nation to be Christians, (a moral and religious people).  Without this background, we cannot be self-governed as our father's and earlier generations were.  As Benjamin Franklin said, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters".  As we fail to use our self controlled freedom to do what is right, we find the void from the lack of our self discipline becoming filled by tyrants and tyrannies with increasing oppression as they attempt to control us.

For example, today crime is increasing.  This can partially be attributed to the economic trials in which we find ourselves.  As we undergo difficulties, today we lack the self-control necessary to keep many from crime.  Therefore the government becomes our hope of protection, despite the expansive cost and unintended consequences that accompany such control.  This too is judgment.  The costs of fighting crime.  The pain and suffering and death of victims.  Even our economic struggles are within God's will, likely more judgment.

Police tactics inevitably will affect even the law-abiding citizens.  All of these things are exacerbated by neglecting God.  With a moral citizenry, we need not lock our doors.  We help each other out, not waiting on the government and the added overhead that goes with supporting a bureaucracy.  Each of these are attributable to God's judgment as His direction was ignored.

So, shall Christians revolt and fight the tyrannical rule now being thrust upon us by Marxists?

According to the Declaration of Independence when the people are sufficiently oppressed by illegitimate rulers, not only do we have the "right" to overthrow such oppression violating our God given rights but also we have the "duty" to actually war against those who take our rights.

We have a problem.  Based on the Declaration, we should rid ourselves of such rulers (of course, hopefully, through non-violent ways, voting out the scum bags and replacing them with those who truly fear God).  Yet, is that where we should concentrate our efforts?

The people of this nation have willingly left God.  Today, even the best of us only have a superficial knowledge and appreciation for our Almighty God.  Our churches feed our lust for entertainment.  We seek approving, undeserving, self-esteem building acknowledgment from what we mistakenly consider worship.

We are not ready to overthrow an evil government.  Today, unfortunately we have a population that requires a heavy handed power to keep us in line.  It is our own fault.  We have accepted horrible behavior by those who deserve and require incarceration or capital punishment.  Pride is not deserved yet is demanded by immoral individuals when, in fact, we are called to humility.  The streets are not safe.  Prison's revolving doors has threatened those who play by the rules by unleashing the worst offenders at us over and over again.

Policemen concentrate their efforts in revenue raising through tickets for insignificant traffic violations only for those who are citizens.  Illegal aliens cannot be ticketed.  They get off when the citizens who truly are law abiding are nailed with fines.  Going after the dangerous criminals is often neglected when police feel they have insufficient force to rid the area of criminals.  This, again is judgment, both with the increased costs of law enforcement and increasing victimization of us by growing crime.  Attorneys have twisted justice.  As in Old Testament accounts, God judges His people (and others) by confusion.  Thinking we are wise we became fools, most deceived.  New Testament too-(Romans 1)

Back to the truths.  If God loves us, then He wants us saved.  Since that is most important, our comfort and blessings are appropriately less important than our salvation.  As we have removed God from our government, schools, our personal lives and we carry on the holocaust of abortion and acceptance of immoral life styles, greed and pride, never falling before God in humble repentance, what should we expect?  God saves us through the Holy Spirit and He may be invited through biblical preaching for our repentance and the fear of God.  If the pulpits (as they have) refuse to emphasize this, the people fail to understand God's jealous nature, including righteous anger and impending judgment with weeping and gnashing of teeth.  They fail to realize just how good we had it with God's protection.  Our actions have been asking God to judge us.

This leads to the inevitable conclusion.  Since the pulpits have failed us.  God must take away our blessings and punish us in order to save some.  As God punishes us, we become more aware that we need help and some will ask for help and salvation. This has been the nature of previous biblical history over and over with primarily the nation of Israel.  God knows how to do this and has shown His propensity to do this when a people turn away.  It is never pretty and often almost completely destructive of the nation.  He must do this to refine and cleanse the Christians and to call others into His fold, especially since the churches have failed us.

Without the absolute necessity of repentance and reawakening of our nation through the church's efforts, all the forms of oppression we find ourselves under are evidence of God's judgment.  Yes, it is us.  Not Obama.  Narcissistic, arrogant and deceived Obama is merely a sad reflection of our nation's desperately condemned place at this time.  Those terms reflect us as well.

Each of us must repent.  Put on sack cloth, put ashes on our heads if necessary.  Without God's acceptance of each of us having a visceral begging for forgiveness, no matter how much we want it, our efforts will not save this nation.  Sorry to say, efforts centered on reforming our government to constitutional limits simply work against God's will to save some though judgment.  If we try to take a short cut and skip the most important part of reawakening our nation to Christ's truth first, at best we will eventually find ourselves in a bloody revolution, similar to the French revolution years ago.

We are in a desperate situation that is not recognized by the vast majority.  We will not prevail if God is against us.  He is our only hope and this requires revival of our nation.  Without that, we Christians will be further marginalized as the country implodes.

Therefore, as Christians (especially preachers), we should redouble our efforts to reach the lost (using the biblical fear of God, etc.) and do Christ's command- "go and make disciples".  Otherwise, we can stand for excellent principles held to by those who want to take us back to constitutional government but to entertain the notion we will win the country back to previous days is foolhardy.  We would find ourselves opposing God's will.  Let us get the horse before the cart, it is our God given role to repent for our own failures and to reach others for Christ, commanded by God Himself.  We must teach others the fear of God before He brings this to them, showing true love through fearful and painful punishment.  Condemnation to hell hangs in the balance.

Let us each read the scriptures to understand what God expects from us, pray for forgiveness and pray for God to send revival to our land.  This is our only hope.  This is change we need.
