Dio,
Inc.
A company
founded as a witness to Jesus Christ, God's Son.
As Christians, God's values should permeate all aspects of our
lives, including politics. We must choose the 'straight
and narrow path' (Matthew 7:13,14), (see Christian walk).
It is our duty (and quote of John Quincy Adams). Our founding fathers knew this.
Our "Christian" nation has lost our moral compass. God's values and His issues have been
traded for expediency and economy. Christians should stand
firm for God and not compromise on God's values. We will give an account to God
for our choices.
Currently the Republican leadership has divorced themselves from
the most important moral issues, choosing to emulate Bill Clinton's 'success' in
politics. They have managed to force a morally indifferent (in
policy), (but bold enough to claim Christ) Presidential candidate - G.W.
Bush down the throats of those voters who feel God's values come first. Last
time they chose a morally indifferent (in policy) Bob Dole (who,
even worse, seemed embarrassed to mention Christ).
Unfortunately, the G.W. Bush and Bob Dole policies are remarkably similar, putting God's
values behind other issues. Christians should vote for God's values and against
'business as usual'. We should not support these and similar
individuals. We should learn our lesson
from the 1996 election!
Put God's issues First! First, let's work on our own personal relationship with our
Almighty God (Christian walk). Some candidates have put
the moral (God's) issues first. Who? See facts that arise for current
answers. Support them. Not the Republican party. The party has plenty
of support from the financial powerbrokers (who put God's values after money). Only
support the worthy individuals.
Our country has been deceived by the lie -
It's the economy, stupid. The
truth is -
Christian? God's values First. Vote that way.

Is it the economy for a Christian? The apostle Paul
said:
1Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. Some people have wandered
from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (NIV)
According to a 1994 Gallup poll, 84% of Americans classify
themselves as "Christian". Despite this we find ourselves electing someone
who lacks moral character and lacks wisdom. Bill Clinton is not the
problem.
Proverbs 11:4 Wealth is worthless in the day of
wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. (NIV)
Bill Clinton is evidence we have a moral
problem. He is a problem. He is not the problem, he is
a symptom of our problem. We allow an immoral leader to lead us into moral decisions (such
as Kosovo) and we see how many lives are destroyed. Pray for those people. Pray for us.
Pray for our government.
As Christians, we are called to put nothing ahead of God and His
values. We have failed. If
this nation will stand, we must repent, fear God and beg His forgiveness. Our faith supercedes our government. Our government officials will answer
to Almighty God. It is a mistake for a Christian to leave their belief at the door when it
comes to any issue, certainly politics is no different. This is borne true in early
scriptures as well
!
We should separate church and state when the state interferes
with the church. Not the other way around. As Christians, we should be the salt and
the light and use our right to vote according to what best pleases God. We must.
Matthew 10: 32 "Whoever acknowledges me before
men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me
before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. (NIV)
Our nation was founded on Christian beliefs. Government buildings
all over Washington claim Gods role. Our currency and our founding fathers did
too. A major role of government is to control the evil in society, a moral issue. It
is wrong to try to separate our beliefs from trying to influence our government.
Let us not be fooled. Anyone who takes such a stand
for morals is not perfect or righteous except through Christ's redemption. When we
fail to take such a stand for God, despite our own shortcomings, we become even more
imperfect by failing Him again.
We have sold out too cheaply. John the Baptist was
beheaded for pointing out a moral problem with the head of the government. He didn't
compromise at the cost of his life. Martyrs die for their faith, what have we done?
Our founding fathers would rather die than to worship in a way the King dictated. They
risked their lives and their property. What have we done? We support a hedonistic
lifestyle. We do not read the Bible for ourselves. We either dont vote or vote for
our pockets, not our soul. May God have mercy on us. As Ambassador Alan Keyes says:
"wake up America".
Check out "Christian walk"
- it is most important.
We all should fear God! Do not fear
results of an election.
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always
obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out
your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to
act according to his good purpose.
Luke 12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear : Fear him who,
after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him
.
Isaiah 33:6 He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich
store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this
treasure. (NIV)
