Homeland Security?
We need to thank all those who have worked hard in the war against terror, especially
since September 1991. Arrests and other means of control seem to have been rather
instrumental in helping protect our homeland. Of course, we have seen unprecedented
cost, damage, and some deaths because of terrorism due to anthrax and snipers.
Although this is not clearly due to Al-Quaeda, we know that at least the snipers were
converts to Islam.
Currently our threat level is "orange" or "high", the devilish bin
Laden sends out a message that he is in his final year and wants to die a martyr 'in the
heart of the eagle' in his final act of war against us. You can bet he wants this to
inflict a greater degree of damage than what occurred in September of 1991.
White House aides admit they are fearful. Then again, this is war against our
homeland, in our homeland, what should we expect? Our military can do a great job at
hurting the enemy in their land(s). What about here, where the majority of us
reside? Our borders are widely open and inviting to any unsavory soul.
Let us make this assumption. We want the absolute least number of casualties on
our side in this war. We want to avoid each death that may potentially occur among
our cities. With weapons of mass destruction, our enemy could cause unprecedented
damage in a single foolish blow.
Give the above assumption, our goal should be to put homeland security above most other
problems. So, how do we successfully reach our goals of minimizing casualties on our
side and to protect our land?
Jeremiah 2:5 This is what the LORD says: "What
fault did your fathers find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed
worthless idols and became worthless themselves. 6 They did not ask, `Where is the LORD,
who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of
deserts and rifts, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one
lives?' 7 I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you
came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable... 12 Be appalled at this, O
heavens, and shudder with great horror," declares the LORD. 13 "My people have
committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their
own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water... 17 Have you not brought this on
yourselves by forsaking the LORD your God when he led you in the way? ...19 Your
wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize
how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of
me," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty... 28 Where then are the gods you made for
yourselves? Let them come if they can save you when you are in trouble! For you have as
many gods as you have towns, O Judah. 29 "Why do you bring charges against me? You
have all rebelled against me," declares the LORD...34 On your clothes men find the
lifeblood of the innocent poor, though you did not catch them breaking in. Yet in spite of
all this 35 you say, `I am innocent; he is not angry with me.' But I will pass judgment on
you because you say, `I have not sinned.' ...3:1 "If a man divorces his wife and she
leaves him and marries another man, should he return to her again? Would not the land be
completely defiled? But you have lived as a prostitute with many lovers-- would you now
return to me?" declares the LORD.
Our nation has chosen the course of ancient Israel. Our country was founded on
decidedly Christian principles by seriously Christian individuals
being led by the Spirit of God. In the last 30 years we have 42,000,000 abortions that have been allowed by the "Christians" in
this society. Divorce is as common in the church as outside the church. As the
scripture states:
1Peter 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with
the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not
obey the gospel of God?
We deserve God's discipline and unfortunately, as discussed in detail elsewhere in this
site (such as here), it seems we have failed to learn the
lesson that should have been obvious since September 1991. As a "Christian
Nation", we should be held to a higher standard by Almighty God. What we have
found, though, is that the most evil scumbags in this world such a bin Laden,
unfortunately have a point when they call us evil as we export our pornography and other
fallen values to the rest of the world.
Yes, God's hedge of protection has at least been partially removed.
Isaiah 5:5 Now I will tell you what I am going to do
to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge , and it will be destroyed; I will break down
its wall, and it will be trampled.
The bottom line... we will not prevail as long as we refuse to fall on our knees in
true repentance and fear of God. The only true "homeland security" we can
rest in is God's protection. Otherwise we will see more pain and suffering as we
neglect God and His values and rely on our own strength. If God really loves us,
wouldn't He allow pain and suffering - if that is the only way we will return to seeking
Him, not a false God but the One true God? Pain and suffering translates into
salvation of some. From God's perspective, what is more important? From an
eternal, human perspective- our current failing, transient, near-sighted viewpoint
deceives us. We erroneously choose comfort over righteousness, threatening our own
saving knowledge of Almighty God. From God's perspective, it seems that if we will
not seek Him on our own, He has not been able to awaken a sleeping generation through
preaching, why wouldn't He choose the route of pain and suffering found throughout the
scriptures, since in the long run it is best for us? Is there another way?
So, what is the answer? True repentance requires a true change in behavior.
John 14:15 " If you love me , you will obey what
I command.
Who chooses to humble themselves and fast today to help seek His will? When we
beg forgiveness for having left the One who has blessed us beyond any other nation in the
history of man, we acknowledge we failed in many ways, starting with the Ten
Commandments. We then must change our behavior, realize through the true fear of God just Who it is we have been offending, and turn from
our evil ways. We must then beg for God's mercy and when He chooses, He will answer
our prayers. When this occurs, instead of His punishment, we may then look forward
to His great love and mercy, through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. Then we are
enveloped in a deep desire to please Him and follow His commandments.
One consequence is that the enemy will not be able to stand on a moral high ground when
they see our true moral change. They certainly seem less moral than we are, yet we
fuel their arguments when we fail to take God's commandments seriously. Muslim
nations have a very small HIV prevalence rate (~0.6% - see Fig 2- North Africa and the
Middle East), yet ours is rising and is higher than most devoutly religious Islamic
nations.

Uganda has dropped from an early prevalence rate of approximately 20% to approximately
6%, due to Christian, abstinence and monogamous teaching and acceptance of the truth,
therefore Uganda holds a high moral ground when held in comparison to neighboring
countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. (See Fig below)

No other country in the world has been able to achieve such a turn-around! We
look foolish and sinful to the Muslim world when we knowingly choose 'tolerance' of
behavior that condemns us to disease and further separation from God and our foolishness
is now instrumental in more disease and deaths in our nation.
This site has targeted the nation as a whole. What it really takes is
individually we fall into true repentance whether or not our neighbors do the same.
Individual repentance. This will then impact our neighbors. Only then will we
have a national revival. We should not boldly claim "God bless
America". We should pleadingly implore Him: "May God continue to bless
America", as President Bush has asked in the recent past.
You want to save your family? God is the only hope. Anything else will
disappoint and result in great pain and suffering. It is your decision.
Choose God and you choose life, both here and everlasting. Choose truth over lies and the Gospel wins. Choose our own strength to
fix our own problems and we will fail. The enemy who picks this fight is on a
"Holy War" that we cannot win without God. Their God will not help them
any more than a statue could help them. That does not mean that the deceived enemy
will not believe whole-heartedly in a false religion at our expense. Our God can
deliver us but He almost assuredly will not when we continue to spit in His eye. We
must acknowledge that we need God. Until we do this, we will continue to endure
repetitive episodes of terror. It is our choice. It is your choice. Now
is the time. Is tomorrow too late? May God have mercy on the United
States. May He forgive me. Thank you Lord Jesus, your love will overcome my
weakness. Now, that is true comfort and peace, whatever comes.
